Avs fire Granato

The Colorado Avalanche have told head coach Tony Granato that he’ll no longer have preferred parking at the Pepsi Center. The team fired Granato and five other members of the organization.

In addition to Granato, the Avalanche fired assistant coaches Jacques Cloutier and Dave Barr, goaltending coach Jeff Hackett, assistant to the general manager Michel Goulet and video coordinator P.J. DeLuca.

Seriously, we would really love to know what the video coordinator did to get booted.

But all this shouldn’t come to a surprise seeing as how the Avs spent the last several weeks trying to get Patrick Roy to come in and coach.
