Wings won't extend Chelios
According to TSN.ca, which seems to be the main source for ice hockey news (we don’t know if they cover field hockey, but if they do we’re sure they do a good job), the Red Wings won’t extend the contract of Chris Chelios.

In other news, Chris Chelios still plays hockey. Who knew?
“I met with Chelios and told him we would not be offering him a contract,” GM Ken Holland told the Free Press. “He wants to play again. I really think that he does have another year in him. I think he can play 10 to 15 minutes. I think he can play on a third pair.”
Chelios is forty-frickin’-seven years old. He has played in the NHL for 26 years. Un-frickin’-real.
If Gordie Howe were alive today he’d be rolling over in his grave.
