Packers sign Greg Jennings

A second-round pick in 2006, Greg Jennings is now paid like the nasty wide receiver that he is for the Green Bay Packers. Terms of the deal haven’t been disclosed, but we assume that he’s getting an upgrade from the $535,000 he was due to earn this season under his rookie deal.

The AP suspects that the new contract will put him in the company of the elite WR’s in the NFL. Which, by our guess, would make him the highest paid player in the UFL if he were to play in that league.

UPDATE: We’re hearing that there is $27 million in new money. And we say “we’re hearing,” we mean we read it on the internet somewhere.
