Ariza gives Rockets a verbal commitment

Sources tell ESPN that Trevor Ariza has given the Houston Rockets a verbal commitment on a free-agent contract. The 6′ 8″ Ariza averaged 8.9 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists last year for the Lakers.

He’ll probably step in and replace Yao Ming immediately if he is able to get injured enough.
