A dark day for all

This is the post we never wanted to type up. It is with heavy hearts, heavy hands, and heavy fingernails that we report to you that Tony Romo has dumped Jessica Simpson. An unnamed source has told People.com that “She is heartbroken. She loves Tony. But it’s been difficult lately. He’s busy with his career and she’s getting ready to shoot her show (“The Price of Beauty”). They decided to part ways.”

We now know how the good folks of Austria felt back in 1914 when Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated in a move that would be a prelude to World War I. Or even what it was like to be standing directly under the big one that landed on Nagasaki. Dark, dark day indeed.

We are in two wars overseas, the housing market is in the toilet, Wall St. is struggling, we have a lending crisis….and now this? How much can one country take at a time?
