Redskins tap Jarmon

Not one to hoard their draft picks, the Redskins have selected DE Jeremy Jarmon out of Kentucky in today’s NFL supplemental draft. They took him in the third round, which means that they won’t have a third-round pick in the 2010 draft. Since they seem to be annoyed that they have to draft at all, they were probably thrilled to join Day 2 of the draft a little later in the day. Now, Dan Snyder can sleep in a bit that Sunday.

Jarmon only had 4.5 sacks last year, but scouts have been impressed with his size and speed. He’s 6’3″, 277 lbs and runs a 4.8 40-yard dash. We’ll see.
