Wow, that headline is misleading. We meant get a chance, not literally shot. It’s not like he got traded to Plaxico Burress’ softball team. So yeah, anyway, it seems that the Phillies’ Shane Victorino has a bum knee after making one of the best catches in the entire MLB season last night in a loss to the Diamonbacks.
He was reportedly walking with a limp as the team got ready to board the plane for San Francisco. He’ll probably have to rest for a few days and that means newly acquired outfielder Ben Francisco could get the start. He most likely would take right field and they’d slide Jayson Werth to center.
Ben Francisco could play in San Francisco. Get it? Namesake.
