OTR assists with Braylon Edwards' charity
Here at OTR we love Cleveland Browns wide receiver Braylon Edwards. We also love charities. So, when we heard that Braylon was donating $1,000 for every touchdown he catches this year to the Cleveland Metropolitan School District’s (CMSD) Project Act (Action for Children and Youth in Transition) program, we knew that we had to get involved as well.
On his official website, you will notice he has already donated $3,000 for his three touchdowns last year. Please note that Braylon had 16 touchdowns in 2007, I’m sure Project Act is aware. All kidding aside, Braylon is a good man and contributes a lot to his community, including his help with opening up a new playground at Churchill Park in Cleveland last year.
Lets get to the point. OTR wants to get involved with Braylon’s charity, too. However, touchdown catches don’t seem to be as profitable for Project Act as first thought. So, we dissected Braylon’s stats and found something more fun to track. Something that Project Act would definitely benefit from. Dropped passes. I mean, Braylon led the league last year with 16. Dwayne Bowe (13) and Brandon Marshall (12) were right up there, too. It’s good company.

Furthermore, OTR has decided to donate $5 to Project Act for every dropped pass Braylon Edwards has in 2009. This is not a joke. It’s just for good fun. Project Act will receive our donation at the end of the season. Playoffs included. Just kidding, it’s the Browns, they aren’t making the playoffs.
We also encourage anyone else who wants to get involved to contact us. It’s for a good cause. Project Act ensures that homeless children and youth have access to the same free and appropriate education all housed students receive within the district.
