Crabtree and 49ers are $8-$10 million apart?
Ouch! Don’t look for this deal to get done any time soon. Matt Maiocco of the Press Democrat estimates that the San Francisco 49ers and Michael Crabtree are about $8-$10 million apart on guaranteed money on a rookie deal.

Wow. That’s a lot.
Crabtree is falling farther and farther behind every day and it’s not looking good if you had any interest in taking him in your fantasy league.
Offensive coordinator Jimmy Raye said, “I don’t know any more about him than I did when we drafted him.” Remember he really couldn’t even do much in OTA’s because he wasn’t cleared medically to be on the field.

I think just maybe his leg isn’t 100% yet . I hope the Niners make him take a new physical but giving him a dime.

I hope they give him a dollar more than Darrius Howard-Bey since he should have been picked higher. He is a better player and he knows he is worth every dime. So give him the money and get this guy signed immediately. Cannot wait to watch this man-beast play. He is “that” good. Judge for yourself. While the money offered would be more than I probably could make it a lifetime, you have to also consider this is a business contract. He is at his prime. He spent his life for this moment in time and now he deserves the payoff. I so wanted to watch him against the Raiders pick tonight. It would be evident Crabtree deserved more money than Darrius not taking anything away from him. Crabtree catches the ball and won’t drop it. I can’t recall one time he was stripped of the ball. That deserves big money. So if they don’t give the money, 49ers lose a great player and Crabtree also loses on displaying his game-changing talents. Just give him that money.
