Aramis to hit the Mark Prior List?
Chicago Cubs cleanup hitter Aramis Ramirez is headed back to see team doctors regarding the shoulder that keeps giving him trouble after he dislocated it earlier this year while playing “one in the pink, two in the stink” with a Brazilian horse baseball. Ramirez missed his second straight game on Monday due to soreness with that left shoulder and it’s possible that he needs a trip to the Mark Prior List.
”I thought I was going to be ready today,” he said. ”I took treatment the whole day [Sunday], but it’s not good enough to play. That’s why I’m going to talk to the doctors tomorrow.”

An MRI is expected today and manager Lou Piniella seems thrilled.
‘We’ve played short a lot this year,” Piniella said. ”We’ve ridden out injuries trying to prevent people from being put on the disabled list. It makes it tougher. But there’s no sense making any hasty decisions here with Ramirez until he sees the doctor.”
The Cubs open up a three-game set tonight at Wrigley against the struggling Philadelphia Phillies.
