David Wright has a concussion

New York Mets 3B David Wright will remain hospitalized tonight after suffering a concussion, according to WFAN’s Twitter page.

“Wright: scan negative. suffered concussion. will remain hospitalized overnight,” they tweeted.

San Francisco Giants pitcher Matt Cain lost control of a ball in the fourth inning Saturday and unloaded on Wright’s head. Wright collapsed to the ground and was helped up after a brief period in the dirt.

This season just gets worse and worse for the Mets.
