Will Strasburg deal get done?

Monday night is the deadline for the Washington Nationals to get a deal done with #1-overall pick Stephen Strasburg. Sources say that the Nationals currently have a $17 million deal on the table with easily attainable incentives that could push it north of $20 million.
The problem though is that Strasburg and total prick his agent Scott Boras have been tossing numbers around in the $50 million area. If they are really serious about that number, then the two sides aren’t even close.
If they don’t get a deal done by tonight, then Strasburg can re-enter the draft. The Nationals have already informed him that they wouldn’t rule out taking him again.
It’s pretty ridiculous how much he was asking for! I wrote about how we need to avoid this in the future by changing the way the MLB draft takes place…
