Mark Sanchez named Jets starting quarterback

Jay Glazer from FOXSports.com has learned that rookie Mark Sanchez will be the starting quarterback for the New York Jets when their season begins at Houston on September 13th.

The No. 5 overall selection out of Southern Cal impressed Jets coach Rex Ryan enough to beat out Kellen Clemons and Vinny Testaverde.
In related news, the New York Jets aren’t going to be very good this season.
