Broncos suspend Marshall
Denver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall is a bit of a d-bag. How do we know this? Well, aside from the suspensions and criminal charges that he routinely encounters, he’s entering the final year of his contract and the Broncos won’t extend him. So, because he such a stud WR, one could only conclude that he must be a d-bag in order for a team to not want him around long term.

So after Marshall decided to act up at practice and punt footballs and generally act like an ass because he wants a new deal or to get traded, the Broncos have suspended him for conduct detrimental to the team. There is no word on how long the suspension will be for, but under the current CBA it can be for up to four games.
Marshall had tried to apologize for his practice ass clownery, but it apparently wasn’t enough.
“I think everybody knows there’s a lot of stuff built up there, and me handling it that way wasn’t good,” Marshall told ESPN Thursday night.
“I’m not out there trying to be a distraction to the team,” Marshall said. “Unfortunately, yesterday I kind of let my frustration get the best of me.”
That’s the best part, he doesn’t have to try to be a distraction to the team, he just is.
UPDATE: Adam Schefter reports that Marshall is suspended until September 6th, so he won’t miss any games if he behaves. This is not good news for a player that admits he doesn’t know jack about Josh McDaniels’ new system.

When he first entered the league, several media outlets and draft nitwits referred to him as baby T.O.
