Surgery for Reyes?

The next piece of good news that the Mets get this year will be the first. It looks like SS Jose Reyes will follow Johan Santana and Oliver Perez into surgery. He has a completely torn right hamstring tendon behind his right knew. Ouch.

The Mets haven’t decided for sure if they are going to send Reyes under the knife, but why not just go ahead and do it. At this point, the Mets are looking at 2010 to do anything remotely productive on the baseball field. Just cut him up and get it right so he can try to enter Spring Training healthy.
