Matt Cassel could miss time with strained MCL
A source within the Kansas City Chiefs has told Yahoo! sports that Matt Cassel suffered a strained MCL and an ankle injury after getting sacked on the third play of the game of Saturday’s preseason loss to Seattle. Furthermore, Cassel could miss two to four weeks, including the season opener against the Baltimore Ravens on September 13th.

If Cassel isn’t able to go when the season starts, back-up quarterback Tyler Thigpen will take the honors. Thigpen played in 14 games last season and finished with 18 touchdown passes, 12 interceptions and a quarterback rating of 76.0.
Things could be worse, Kansas City fans. Imagine if JaMarcus Russell was starting at quarterback.
