Penny to join Giants

Major league sources tell ESPN’s Buster Olney that pitcher Brad Penny will sign with the San Francisco Giants. The 31-year old will replace Joe Martinez in the rotation and could provide a huge boost to a team with playoff aspirations.
Penny was a disappointment in Boston with a 5.61 ERA and 7-8 record. His velocity is still there so maybe he can get his act together and help the Giants.
