Oregon vs. Boise St. Fight, LeGarrette Blount throws Punch

Oregon lost to Boise St., then senior tailback LeGarrette Blount lost his head.  The incident occurred after BSU defensive end Byron Hout ran by Blount and slapped him on his shoulder pads during the postgame gathering at midfield.  OTR assumes that Hout did some trash talking as he slapped Blount’s pads.  Instead of moving on, Blount thought it intelligent to punch the opposing player in the face.  Here’s the video:

In related news, Byron Hout got knocked the F out!  Check the smile on Hout’s face right before Blount rocks his world.  The punch was completely despicable and childish, but OTR thinks that Hout learned to keep his trap shut.

“I should have handled that situation a lot better than I did,” Blount said. “I apologize. We will never have a game like this again. … The game as it went on, just got more frustrating and more frustrating for me in general. I shouldn’t have said anything. I shouldn’t have done anything.”

"You'll give me that pudding if you know what's good for ya old man."

No LeGarrette, you shouldn’t have punched an opposing player.  And if you had to punch someone this year, at least pick a game that isn’t being televised by ESPN.  Oh, one last piece of advice – when cops try to escort you off the field, don’t fight back.  Enjoy your suspension.

Blount rushed for 1,000 yards in 2008, but was stymied by the BSU defense on Thursday night.  He had eight carries for minus-five yards.
