Brady Quinn is named starting quarterback

A league source not named Terrell Owens told The Plain Dealer today that Brady Quinn has been named the starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns.  Quinn was battling Derek Anderson for the job.

Quinn, who was drafted 22nd overall in the 2007 NFL Draft out of a small college in Indiana, started three games last year for the Browns winning one of them in Buffalo.

In the big scheme of things, this is not a big deal.  Overall, Brady Quinn is a below average quarterback and the Cleveland Browns are a below average team.  When Robinson Tejada was named the Kansas City Royals’ starting pitcher in tonight’s game, did you get excited?  Most likely not.
