Philadelphia 76ers add depth in Carney
Tuesday the Philadelphia 76ers went from pretender to contender when they signed free agent Rodney Carney, one year after trading him to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Not only did Sixers general manager Ed Stefanski sign the steal of the summer, but the addition of Carney adds depth to a bench that is already the best in the NBA. The other 29 GMs, who obviously completely forgot Carney was a free agent, now have to prepare for an endless amount of athleticism when the first team takes a rest.
This signing adds another dimension to a team that is ready to win now (this sentence deserves its own paragraph).
The 76ers drafted Carney 16th overall in 2006 by Chicago then traded to Philadelphia. Yes, lightning can strike twice in the same place.
