Crowder wants to beat up Florio
This is great. We know Mike Florio of Profootballtalk.com through occasional emails and for the most part he’s been nice to us (although he didn’t mention our Braylon Edwards “Drops for Tots” program. What could involve more talking of pro football than that?). But we think – as we are sure he does too – that it’s hysterical that a player would actually want to beat him up over comments. Well, Miami Dolphins LB Channing Crowder apparently wants to.
“Hey, you know this guy from Pro Football Talk.com?” Crowder asked a group of writers in the Dolphins locker room, according to Mike Berardino.
“You mean Mike Florio?” Berardino said.
And it appears that Florio is exactly who he is talking about.
“Well, you tell Mike Florio to come to my house and call me a ‘douche bag’ to my face,” Crowder said. “Just tell him to come to [my housing development] and take two lefts and a right and look for the house with the Dodge Ram out front. I’ll be waiting there for him and he can call me that to my face and we can talk about it.”
In fairness, Florio didn’t really call him a douchebag. He made a reference to comments that Crowder made and said if people really wanted to know what he said, to Google “Channing” “Crowder” “douche” “bag.” He really didn’t say anything about Crowder being a douchebag, but that doesn’t make it any less fun.
