NBA rules change, players can’t stand
The National Basketball Association announced some rule changes on Wednesday geared to players sitting on the bench, a place where Orlando Magic fans hope J. J. Redick remains during the entire season.

PHOTO CAPTION: No, J. J., you can stand when you’re in the game…don’t make this difficult
Starting this season, players will be required to remain seated on the bench while the ball is live except to “spontaneously react to a notable play and immediately sitting down on the bench afterward” or “to approach the scorer’s table to report into the game.”
The rule was set so fans paying for high-priced seats behind the players’ bench won’t have their views blocked when the tallest people in the world stand in front of them.
This rule will not effect the Sacramento Kings, Memphis Grizzlies, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Philadelphia 76ers. Players from these teams will be allowed to stand during home games, because there won’t be any fans behind them.

Well, I agree with what you wrote, but not with all of it. Regardless, it is all excellent material. Thanks!
