Davies in nasty car crash

CharliedaviesCharlie Davies, one of the few good players on the United States soccer team, was in a hell of a car accident down in Virginia and remains in the hospital on Tuesday. There was a fatality in the one-car accident, but Davies’ injuries are not considered life threatening.

The 23-year old is expected to need five hours of surgery.

It truly is the sign of a weak and small person that they use a tragic moment like this to make a snide comment about the general abilities of the US team. What a horrible and sick man you are. Have some dignity and integrity.

FYI…Micah Warren and Ben Pavlovic grew up playing soccer. I believe that Ben still plays. They love the game of soccer and are not “soccer hating dinosaurs”. I don’t believe he said anything disparaging towards Charlie Davies. He made a wide comment about the US soccer team. Anyone who watches soccer knows the teams weaknesses when it comes to playing against the high-caliber teams from around the globe. Had he said something along the lines of…”I hope Davies has his leg lopped off” then yes, I could see the outrage. People that are posting on here obviously know Davies personally because that can be the only reason for such anger. I can say with certaintly that everyone at OTR hopes that Davies makes a full recovery and plays soccer again at the same high level he was before the accident.
