Jenkins done for the year

A league source tells Adam Schefter that New York Jets defensive tackle Kris Jenkins is done for the year with a torn ACL.

“It’s a huge blow,” defensive end Shaun Ellis said. “That’s our guy. Now guys are just going to have to step up. … Guys are going to have to step up across the board and fill in his shoes, and those are big shoes to fill.”

And he’s right. This could be a killer for the Jets. You can’t run the 3-4 defense without a good nose tackle and Jenkins was exactly that.
