Steve Phillips Admits Affair with ESPN Production Ass.

Our favorite jackass Steve Phillips apparently dipped the pen in some 22-year-old company ink over at ESPN.  Looks like we have ourselves quite a scandal here.

We’ve got a complete failure former GM assuredly allegedly having an affair with a subordinate at the sports leader.  The fuzz claims that the ESPN production assistant Brooke Hundley phoned Mrs. Phillips and sent letters describing the relationship between herself and the terrible baseball analyst Phillips.

Phillips was on ESPN as late as yesterday afternoon breaking down the Yankees/Angels game before the first pitch.  According to sources that watched the broadcast, Phillips dropped knowledge and stated that the Yanks should go with Chad Gaudin instead of bringing CC Sabathia back on 3-day’s rest.  Spot-on, Stevo!  That’s some solid analysis right there.

Look for Phillips to get fired from ESPN in the near future.  Bristol will most likely try to sneak it under the radar like they did with Harold Reynolds a few years ago.

Come to think of it, this may get even worse for Steve, as there is certainly a 50/50 chance that Brooke Hundley is actually a man.  ”Yeah baby!”

OTR is also looking into the distinct possibility that Brooke Hundley is actually related to former Mets catcher Todd Hundley.  If OTR can find evidence of the relation, OTR will then be able to report (with utmost certainty) that Brooke Hundley is ALSO related to Todd Hundley’s father –  former Chicago Cubs catcher Randy Hundley.

It should be noted (and it will) that Steve Phillips served as GM of the New York Mets during some of Todd Hundley’s time with the Mets.  Coincidence?  I think not.
