Simon Gagne might need groin surgery
Philadelphia Flyers left-winger Simon Gagne might need surgery after an ultrasound discovered he had two small hernias in his right groin.
Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren says the team’s medical staff will meet with Gagne on Wednesday to discuss his options.

This past May, Gagne had hip surgery to remove bone spurs and adhesions. After the surgery he felt tightness in his hip and groin when he was skating for Team Canada in August. Eventually, he strained his groin in an up tempo practice. I mention all this because I know how to put two and two together.
