Brian Westbrook not expected to play

Philadelphia Eagles running back Brian Westbrook is not expected to suit up today against the New York Giants, as per Adam Shefter’s tweet.

Westbrook suffered a concussion this past Monday Night when he took a knee to the head in the Eagles win over the Washington Redskins.

If this news is confirmed, rookie LeSean McCoy will get the nod.  During Week 3, McCoy got the start and carried the ball 20 times for 84 yards and one score.  Granted that was against the Kansas City Chiefs and not the New York Giants, but McCoy is more than capable of filling Brian’s shoes.
