Iverson and Hollins haven’t talked

Memphis Grizzlies guard Allen Iverson has made it clear that he doesn’t want to be a bench guy. But, you would think that he’s at least had private conversations with head coach Lionel Hollins about it, right? Not the case.

“I think that’s probably the worst part of all this,” Iverson said. “That while all this is going on, we have never talked to each other. That’s probably why it’s at this point right now. We’ve just never had a conversation.”

Iverson is of course in the twilight of his career, but the Grizzlies are off to a 1-5 start. They stink. You would think they’d get Iverson on the floor just to run around and hog the ball and take bad shots. It’s actually fun to watch.
