Campbell leaves game with chest contusion

JasonCampbell 219x300 Campbell leaves game with chest contusionWashington Redskins QB Jason Campbell left Sunday’s game in the second quarter with a chest contusion and was replaced by Todd Collins. He was 5-for-8 for 73 yards, but also threw a pick six and took five sacks.

The Redskins continue to be a sorry sack of a franchise and are currently down 21-3 in Atlanta. At least they aren’t subject to the derision of the home fans. You have to find a silver lining?

They are calling his return “probable,” but does anyone really want him returning to the game? Not like it’s all his fault, but they need to do something. OTR heard unconfirmed reports that head coach Jim Zorn was warming up on the sidelines.

UPDATE: Campbell is back in the game.
