No one wants Larry
Larry Johnson has cleared waivers. Every single NFL team had a chance to put in a claim and grab the obnoxious, past-his-prime running back, and no one did. This means that he is now a free agent and can sign with any team for whatever amount of money that he and the team agree on.
He can still, however, collect the remaining $4.45 million of this year’s contract as termination pay. Players can claim the remaining portion of a year’s contract only once in their careers. We would advise Larry to take it since no one will give him that much money anymore and it won’t affect what he’ll be able to take in a new contract.
