Russell doesn’t know why he was benched…seriously
Oakland Raiders QB JaMarcus Russell doesn’t have any clue why he was benched during a 16-10 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. No idea. Not at all.
“I really can’t explain it,” Russell said of the benching. “I really don’t know what to say about it, but that was his decision, and just move on from it.”
You can’t explain it, JaMarcus? You went 8-for-23 for 64 yards. And you don’t know why the coach may have wanted to go in a different direction?
“Some guys take longer than others,” head coach Tom Cable said. “He’ll get there at some point. He’s a talented guy. There’s no question about that.”
Yes, there is a question about that. Here is a big guy with a strong arm that is an absolute waste of space as a QB. He plays like a big warm bucket of hamster vomit and has no clue why someone wouldn’t want him playing.
This guy is a joke who stole millions from Al Davis. Raiders fans deserve better than what they are currently getting out of the organization.
You nailed a one of Russell’s biggest problems. Maybe the biggest. He doesn’t seem to think he is playing just fine. He doesn’t accept any responsibility for his large part in the Raiders’ struggles. And there is no evidence to suggest that he is doing anything to correct any of his issues. Then again, if you think you are playing wll, what is there to correct? I think Cable is finally sick of his performance and lack of improvement. He isn’t getting any better, cable knows it despite any of his past coachspeak.

Right on, that’s the deal! If Jamarcus would own up to him mistakes like a a good leader, I could have some compassion for him. He shows no emotion when things go wrong, just a silly grin as he puts on his stupid beanie. Time to move on, he can assume the back up role while we figure out what to do with this absurd contract. Absolutely no fire, no drive and no clue. Get the hell out of town.

J-Marc couldn’t hit water if he fell out of a boat! I’ve always been told, “There are those that make things happen, those that watch things happen, and those that wonder what happened.” You do the math J-Marc. You seem to be an easy going guy with the best of intentions, but you’ve got to understand perception and reality. And to put it bluntly…….both are not in your favor. So take it easy for the rest of the year and maybe holding the clipboard will keep you abreast of what’s going on in the game instead of sulking on the bench after each series.
