Pujols wins MVP unanimously
St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Albert Pujols won his second straight NL MVP award today with a unanimous vote. Ryan Howard, Derrek Lee, Andre Ethier and Hanley Ramirez all got some second-place votes, but they were not match for the season that Pujols had.
Pujols hit .327 with 135 RBI’s and led the league in HR’s (47) and runs scored (124). He becomes only the seventh NL player to win the award unanimously and the first in either league since Barry Bonds in 2002.
Please, MLB. Test him.
