The Toronto Blue Jays are still dangling Roy Halladay in front of his potential suiters, but as it was during the MLB trade deadline last season, the demands are too high.

General Manager Theo Epstein and the Boston Red Sox would love to have Halladay’s services for next season, if not just to keep him away from the New York Yankees. However, if acquiring the ace pitcher means trading away Clay Buchholz and their top prospect Casey Kelly, it’s not going to happen. And that is exactly what the Blue Jays want.
If the Blue Jays continue to keep their demands high for Halladay, the 33-year old pitcher will most likely stay with his current team and find a new home when he is a free agent after the upcoming season.
But there’s always the Yankees.
