Serena Williams fined $175,000 for tantrum
Professional female tennis player Serena Williams was fined $175,000 stemming from her U. S. Open blow up back in September.

Williams was down two match points and serving 15-30 against opponent Kim Clijsters in their semifinal match when a lineswoman called a foot fault on her. Serena, who probably knew she was going to lose anyway, decided to go completely ballistic and take her frustrations out on the poor and scared lineswoman. You can view Serena’s outburst right here.
Serena also might be suspended from future U. S. Opens if found guilty of a major offense in any Grand Slam, the International Tennis Federation’s Grand Slam committee said today in an e- mailed statement. Furthermore, Williams’ fine will be reduced to $82,500 if she doesn’t have any more major offenses through 2011.
Serena Williams is a beast.
