Mariners in line to get Figgins?

Multiple MLB sources tell FOXSports.com that the Seattle Mariners are the front runners to land the services of 3B Chone Figgins. While he’s not going to solve Seattle’s power problems, he would make for a nasty top of the order batting second behind Ichiro.
One source said the team and Figgins reps engaged in serious discussions on Thursday and said a four-year deal could be completed in the next few days or so. But, he warned that there is “nothing done” yet.
It’s estimated that Figgins will fetch anywhere from $10-$12 million per year over those four years.
We continue to be disappointed that his name is pronounced “Shawn” and not “Chone,” like it’s spelled. Chone would be much cooler.
