Nationals sign Marquis

According to ESPN’s Buster Olney, the Washington Nationals have inked starting pitcher Jason Marquis to a two-year, $15 million deal.

“Confirmed: Washington has agreed to a two-year, $15 million deal with Jason Marquis, pending a physical,” he tweets.

He was 15-13 with a 4.04 ERA last year for the Colorado Rockies and he will most certainly help the Nationals starting rotation. His W/L record might get worse, but we’d have to think his ERA will drop a bit in that big ballpark. The air isn’t thin in Washington either.
