Haynesworth encouraged teammates to show up late to Christmas practice

How can things get much worse in Washington? We just noted that Redskins defensive tackle and big-money free agent signee Albert Haynesworth hasn’t been worth the money and doesn’t think it’s his fault at all. And we learned yesterday that Haynesworth was sent home early from practice yesterday for conduct detrimental to the team. And now we hear just why that was.

Multiple sources tell Brad Biggs of the National Football Post that Haynesworth attempted to gather teammates and convince them to show up late to a Christmas day practice. He himself showed up more than an hour late to the facility, which sparked an on-field argument with head coach Jim Zorn.

The club held an early practice on Jesus’ birthday so that the players could get out of there early and go be with their families. Haynesworth has already become a pain in the ass.
