Jimmer Fredette drops 49 large
BYU (13-1) rolled into the McKale Center on Monday night and absolutely smoked the Arizona Wildcats (6-6) 99-69 behind Jimmer Fredette’s 49 points, 7 rebounds, and 9 assists.
Fredette’s 49 points broke the McKale Center record of 45, previously held by Providence’s Eric Murdock in 1990.

Who is Jimmer Fredette besides the man with the best name ever? The junior guard is from Glenn Falls, New York where he played his high school ball at Glenn Falls High School. He was ranked in the nations top 75 high school shooting guards and led his team to the Class A State Championship game, losing to Peekskill High School.
This year, his third season with the Cougars, he is averaging 21 points per game and shooting above 50%. In Monday’s game against Arizona he only missed seven shots on his way to 49 points, including 9-for-13 from three-point land.
