Phillies, Victorino, agree to 3-year deal
Craig Calcaterra of nbcsports.com is reporting that the Philadelphia Phillies and gold glove-center fielder Shane Victorino have agreed to a three-year, $22 million contract.

Earlier in the week, Victorino filed an arbitration request of $5.8 million, while the team offered $4.74 million. Doing some quick math, Victorino’s deal is worth $7.33 million per year. So, I believe that is a win for Victorino. And the fans of Philadelphia.
The Flyin’ Hawaiian was selected by the Phillies in the 2005 Rule 5 Draft and began starting for the team in 2006. In 2009, he batted .292 with 102 runs scored, 39 doubles, 13 triples, 10 homeruns, 25 bases, and a 0.00 WHIP.
The team could announce the deal as early as today.
