Maualuga arrested for DUI
Cincinnati Bengals LB Rey Maualuga won’t be hired to give driving lessons any time soon. He was arrested early Friday drunken driving and careless driving after he hit two parked cars and a parking meter.
He must have been pretty banged up.
Officers pulled Maualuga over and arrested him at 1:45am. They were responding to a report of a traffic accident and said that he smelled of “intoxicants” and told the officer that he had “about six Captain and Coke drinks,” the report states. The officer gave Maualuga field sobriety tests, which he failed.
“Subject had slurred speech, blood shot, watery eyes and he was unsteady on his feet,” the officer wrote.
Six Captain and Coke’s our rear end. It was probably more like 12, but that’s just a guess.
Meanwhile, the Bengals continue to place a heavy emphasis on character.
