Mangold wants a new deal
New York Jets center Nick Mangold is entering the final year of his rookie contract and is hoping to get locked up (not in the Rey Maualuga type of way) long term before the 2010 season.
“I know — and I hope — they’ll do the right thing,” Mangold said after the Pro Bowl. “I’m not too worried about it right now.”
According to the Daily News, he wasn’t complaining, just saying that he’d like the long-term security. He’s set to make $3.3 million next year.
Mangold is considered to probably be the best center in the game. He’s a two-time Pro Bowler and an All Pro.

Sounds like there are some very interesting stories there indeed. It must have took time gathering the research here and so well done. Great stuff
