Coach Jim Caldwell said Wayne hurt the soft tissue below his kneecap, an injury that has hampered him throughout the season. It is not thought to be serious.
The 31-year old out of Miami (Fla) caught 100 balls this season for 1,264 yards and 10 touchdowns.
