Texans interested in Tomlinson?

ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, who is rarely right about anything including what kind of appetizer to order at Applebee’s, is reporting that the Houston Texans would be among the teams interested in veteran RB Ladainian Tomlinson after he is cut by the San Diego Chargers. We think that the Texans could address their running back situation after a not-good-enough performance from Steve Slaton this year, but we aren’t sure Tomlinson is the answer.

We aren’t sure who is going to want Tomlinson, especially if his asking price is way beyond his performance level. It’s very tough for an athlete to admit to themselves sometimes that they just don’t have the juice anymore, so we’ll see if Ladainian’s analysis of himself at this point is equal to an NFL team’s.
