Tigers hot on Johnny Damon?
According to Jon Morosi, who we assume is someone that we should listen to in such matters, the Detroit Tigers are definitely looking at former New York Yankee outfielder Johnny Damon.
“#Tigers could use another infielder but are devoted to the pursuit of Damon, first and foremost, a source says. #MLB #Braves #Yankees,” he tweets with excellent use of hashtags.
Things are picking up a bit in the race to get Damon (there really isn’t one). The Braves offered him a one-year deal with some deferred money. The Tigers could reach in and snatch him up if they offer a second year or perhaps some more money up front. More money seems to solve a lot of things in a lot of situations. Like, say, when you are with a hooker or need more dope. Or both.
So yeah, anyway, back to Damon. His agent Scott Boras would love a bidding war for his services, even though the bids are awfully low.
Yes the race is on to sign Damon and that is only second to the race of buyers for Chryslers.
