Camby traded to Portland

League sources tell Yahoo! Sports that the Los Angeles Clippers have shipped center Marcus Camby to the Portland Trailblazers in exchange for a new pair of sneakers and a lump of coal. Actually, they will be getting Travis Outlaw, Steve Blake and $3 million, which they could easily spend on new sneakers if they so choose.

According to Yahoo!’s source, Camby is not happy about this despite the fact that he won’t have to play for the Clippers anymore.

“He likes the Clippers, he likes the organization, he likes L.A.,” the source said. “His wife is happy in L.A. And he’s not one for change. He’s definitely not happy about this.”

And Camby isn’t the only person who is PO’ed. One Clippers player said, “all the guys are upset because our best defensive player got traded basically for a backup point guard and money.”
