Duke lacrosse accuser is up to more fun and games
Remember that upstanding broad that four years ago accused those Duke lacrosse players of rape and it temporarily ruined their lives and got the local prosecutor disbarred? Yeah, her. Well, she’s at it again, but this time she is accused of just assaulting her boyfriend, throwing his clothes in the bathtub, setting them on fire and threatening to stab him. Oh, and there were children in the house.
At least she didn’t accuse him of rape, right?
Crystal Mangum is now being charged with arson and attempted murder. Her boyfriend is accused of dating someone who doesn’t show any tangible evidence of being date-able.
Mangum’s bond is set at $1 million and has been appointed the public defender. How great would it be if it was Michael Nifong (look it up if you don’t know who he is)?
Police charged her with attempted first-degree murder, five counts of arson, assault and battery, communicating threats, three counts of misdemeanor child abuse, injury to personal property, identity theft and resisting a public officer.
Hey, it isn’t like she never contributed anything to our culture. (Besides a number of taxpayers’ liabilities to feed,) house and educate. The incident added the word “nifonged” to our lexicon. It’s a great word, and sounds so much more refined than “f*cked-over”, which it replaced in all of my correspondence.

I hope they throw the book at her. How great would it be if the lacrosse players she accused sat in on the trial. Hilarity would ensue?
