Reyes linked to HGH doctor?
According to the New York Daily News, New York Mets shortstop Jose Reyes has been interviewed by federal agents about his connection to a Canadian doctor who is under investigation for drug violations, including conspiring to smuggle HGH into the United States. This same doctor, Tony Galea, has also been linked to Tiger Woods. Reyes has taken Galea’s “blood spinning” treatment for help with his bum hamstring, but has denied taking any performance-enhancing drugs.
Sports Illustrated posted a story on its website Saturday night that federal investigators have told numerous athletes that they could expect grand jury subpoenas in a case against Galea. Mets spokesman Jay Horowitz says that the Mets are aware of the investigation.
In a December interview with WFAN, Reyes denied taking HGH or any other steroids from Galea.
“No, no, no, nothing like that,” Reyes said. “He treat me. I went there. He just did like, PRP treatment for me. It was my own blood.”
“A lot of people talked about (Galea),” Reyes said. “I wanted to come back so bad to the field to play, so I say, ‘Why not? Let’s try this guy and see if he can fix me.’”
None of this says that Reyes did anything illegal and we aren’t saying that. But in this day and age of sports (blame baseball all you like, some NFL players have claimed that about 30% of football locker rooms take HGH), everyone is a suspect.

I thought I had read this wrongly at first but it would seem I hadn`t. I agree with some of the other comments on this, it seems slightly unethical to me to be using this trick and I would think that once customers knew this was going on, I suspect they would be disturbed by it. I understand the benefits and the positive side to the argument however, it`s a case of do the means justify the end and in todays security consious world, would customers stand for this sort of thing. It is amost inevitable that this method would be discovered by the population in general as these things generally are and then before you know it, it is a topic on the news gaining bad press. When do you say things have gone too far?
