Lito Sheppard cut?
Chad Ochocinco is tweeting that the New York Jets are not only planning to cut Thomas Jones this Friday, but that they will also be letting go of CB Lito Sheppard.
“OCNN NEWS -Thomas Jones and Lito Sheppard will be released today by the NY JETS and will be free agents this friday,” he tweets.

We aren’t shocked in the least. We saw this coming a long time ago, like when he was traded away from the Philadelphia Eagles. He was due a $10 million bonus this offseason and we knew there was no way they’d pay that. Lito has had some very good years and made some great plays, but there is only one cornerback on that roster and maybe two or three in all of football worth that kind of bonus. The bad news for Lito is that he isn’t one of them.
Lito was pulled as a starter in the AFC Championship game in favor of Dwight Lowery so that was the real clue that the Jets weren’t happy with their offseason acquisition. He was busted down as far as dimeback in that game. We fully expect him to catch on with someone else shortly.
Too much headroom? C’mon! That’s how most people take pictures!
