Vick likes the Carolina Panthers’ uniforms
Anyone remember the episode of “What’s Happening?” when Dwayne comes up with a system for picking football games? Then Rerun’s cousin Ike decides to take Dwayne’s advice and bet $500 (he and his wife’s vacation fund) on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to beat the Oakland Raiders? This was back when the Bucs were horrific and the Raiders killed everyone.
So, the Bucs get killed and Ike is in big trouble. He asks how Dwayne comes up with picks. It’s some convoluted system that ends up with Dwayne picking the winner based on who has the better helmets.
Ike then screams, “I bet $500 on Tampa Bay because you like their helmets?!”
This is the reaction we had when we saw Michael Vick’s comments to an Atlanta radio station about where he’d like to play next.
“If I could play for any team in the league, it would probably be two teams, but if I had to pick one, it would probably be the Carolina Panthers,” Vick said.
He was then asked why, and he responded with this.
“Well, you know, it’s close to home. I like the uniforms. You get to play against Atlanta twice a year. Ain’t nothing better than playing against your former team, right? So, yeah, that would be a good look, it would be a good look.”
“You want to play for the Carolina Panthers because you like their uniforms?!”
What an absolutely ridiculous answer. People can debate whether this guy has paid his debt to society or is a changed man or if he’s sorry or whatever. You can’t fix stupid. What a moronic thing to say.
Your the moron picking out little things he says to write your little blog. They need a qb and Vick is a definite upgrade.
