Bengals cut Laveranues
The Cincinnati Bengals have announced that they have terminated the contract of WR Laveranues Coles, making him an unrestricted free agent. Coles was a disappointment last year, catching just 43 passes for 514 yards and five TD’s. He did that while making almost $10 million, a salary that doesn’t jive with those types of numbers.
“Laveranues really came in and added a sense of professionalism that that room needed — severely,” Lewis said. “And he did a great job in that and was a great professional.”
He was so professional that they couldn’t stand it any longer and had to get rid of him. As with all free agent wide receivers, expect Coles to get a tire-kicking from the Baltimore Ravens.
